Senate Bill 510 A Major Danger to Human Health and Freedom

Could growing your own garden be a crime under Senate Bill 510?

Could growing your own garden be a crime under Senate Bill 510?

Bill S 510 known as the Food Safety Modernization Act, sits on the Senate floor waiting for a vote. Unlike many of the bills that have followed this same path and mean little to nothing to the average citizen, this bill will have dire consequences to the way food is grown in America.

If Bill s 510 were to pass, personal control over gardening would be severely restricted and saving seeds, a practice whereby farmers use leftover seeds the following season, would be outlawed. In short, it would grant the U.S. government new authority over the public’s right to grow, trade and transport any foods.

Food production of any kind would essentially be under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security and anyone caught growing food without permission, even in their own backyard, could be charged with a criminal offense.

It is important for citizens to understand what is going on in these matters. More can be seen on Bill 510 in this Natural News video.

These people are completely f*cking insane.

Can you please point out the relevant sections of the bill that support your claims? I’m calling BS on this until I see hard evidence.

Here are a few things to look at and you can interpret what you will. The main concern, as with many government bills, is with the mega-corps behind the bill and who really benefits from this. Thanks for commenting and I hope this helps.
    1) What the bill says: If the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) believes that there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to an article of food (and any other article of food that the Secretary reasonably believes is likely to be affected in a similar manner) will cause serious health consequences, then the source would have to give HHS agents access to all of its records.
    2) It mandates use of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) as a means of identifying sources of contamination.
    3) If the Secretary determines…that there is a reasonable probability that an article of food is adulterated or misbranded…the Secretary shall provide the responsible party an opportunity to cease distribution and recall such an article.
4)”Nothing in this Act shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the agreement establishing the World Trade Organization or any other treaty or international agreement to which the U.S. is a party.”

people are funny, in that they do something not very bright, and try to to counter it with doing something ridiculously stupid and hope for the best. they’re so worried and have great anxieties about contamination and disease, yet they are the ones giving the problems a kick start by trying to fix them before they are problems. if you want to fix whatever food problems, why don’t they make things like feeding your cow other cows, and pumping them full of different growth hormones and presevatives against the law? Or, making live stock healthy instead of bulking them up, stop using pesticides ( you just allow for critters to evolve and mutate so they’re immune to the toxins) it’s the same with alot of things people are doing. there’s cloning ( eventually we’ll all be eating the the same cow and 6 carrots every week. and what will happen, will be that there with be a pathogen that will target the dna of the one cow… you are what you eat… the cow becomes you and so the disease will likely find us too.), and smoking in the vegie crops ( i have found many butts in my lettuce) just stupid things, however large or small. outlawing people to produce ther own gardens for personal use or sale is not very bright, home grown is likely safer than whatever the government tries to do. was only the chief of the village, way back when, the only one in the village allowed to garden? I don’t think so. they need to stop trying to ‘fix’ things that are fine. you can’t create total population control by refusing and rationing food out either ( if that could be a potential twist) you just cause reason for arguement, and one day the world will figure it all out and tell the govermants to take it all home, because no is interested in they’re silly ideas any longer.
